MR.STUDIO is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Run and operated solely by me, Jeremy Bentley, MR.STUDIO has a comfortable atmosphere where groups and artists can feel relaxed and be inspired to create, with a helpful and friendly engineer at the helm who is eager to get the best sounds, as well as the best song performances. Think of us as a second rehearsal space, where you can achieve the most perfectly recorded representation of your material without being intimidated by big studio sterility.

MR.STUDIO started as a way to continually improve upon the skills I learned in the Music Technology program at Lebanon Valley College. While recording my own band’s releases, I started getting feedback from other bands with which we shared the stage. Groups were looking for a way to get a reasonably priced demo recording to hand out at their shows, but one that didn’t sound like a demo – a high quality recording to fit a working band’s budget. Unfortunately, to attain that level of quality, bands had to spend exorbitant fees at larger scale studios, many of which spent more money on equipment than on the time it took to find good engineers that knew how to use it all. In my own band, I too had been wowed by studios that spent tons of money on walls of high-priced gear and “studio chic” surroundings, but the end product didn’t always measure up to the amount of money spent. |
| Faced with this problem, and acting on the knowledge that I had attained from schooling, as well as the real-world skills I learned over the years by recording albums for my own band with the bare minimum of digital and analog recording equipment, I really figured out how to get the most optimum sounds with what I had available to me. Bands started passing the word along about my operation, and I went from not only recording demos for bands, but Production Quality EPs and Full Length CDs as well. To date, I operate solely on word-of-mouth recommendations from not only past clients, but also from people who have enjoyed the records on which I have worked. I am not going to try to wow you with a huge list of equipment or a studio space that cost 6 digits to build, because I believe in really knowing how to get the best out of what I have.
